design development for design layout of the A£ CAD sheet

this is my design development sheet. this is explaining different types of layouts i have came up with for my final sheet.

other research boards

our new project...... based around CAD computer aided design

i am still developing my garment for the salvation army...... however i am  also working on our new project. in this project we will be introduced to software within the fashion industry we will learn to develop skills with digital techniques. we will be using design assyst and maybe photoshop. these design softwares are used by design houses for example french connection, accessorize, topshop, nike and also many others

below is the first digital imagery research board i have based it within the world of black and white looking at work that is digital and has been edited through using photography and cad workshops. i throughly enjoyed doing my research boards for this new project that we are undergoing..

 .

the images i have collected for this are all digital photography however they have also been edited using photoshop and design assyst. the images that i have chosen all kind of set the same theme. they are very surreal and moving.

i have worked into this board with magazines scraps and black fine liner to add detail to my board

i love this central photograph i think it really works well within this mood board. it separates the square images.

TIE IT!!!!!!!

here i have started to fray the fabric this was originally a mans tie. i have took the lining out of the tie so that its easier to work with.

i love this seventies style print. it works in well with shirt i have custormised

looking into distressing the shirt , shredding the threads!!!!!

here have started with cutting holes into the fabric, the fabric  was rather thin and has a really suede type feeling.
although i did did find it quite difficult actually pulling the threads. as i worked into and spent a few nights actually pulling the different threads it was starting to take a lovely unique look. i think this was becoming quite successful. it looked very distressed. up coming trends at the moment are like this.

The catwalks for Spring/Summer 2011 have got lots of 70s’ Glamour to Eclectic Chic.trousers are either over exaggerated or very sleek and flared

Seventies inspired rounded sunglasses

Unfortunately i have had some problems throughout making my seventies garment, the pleated callot horts didn't go quite to what i wanted them. Although with some stressed out moments i have over come this problem and have visited the local salvation army charity shop to see what i could find .I have therefore dug out some inspiring seventies clothing which i can now customise into a final outfit for the fashion show in may. Before i start playing around i feel i need to look into the research in a bit more detail. i like the idea of long pleated skirts!
